The National Housing Trust (NHT) invites registered suppliers to submit tenders for the design, supply and installation of a complete solar power generating system and the acquisition of a net billing license, as specified in the Bills of Quantities for the Lacovia Police Station, located on the Burton Main Road, Lacovia, St. Elizabeth.
DESCRIPTION OF GOODS
The successful supplier will be required to:
- Design, supply and install a complete solar power generating system with lithium battery back-up to power the following:
- The communications system at the police station
- All plugs, switches and bulbs (110V)
- Appliances with 220V (dryer, stove, water heater and air conditioning units) during power generation
- Obtain a net billing license from the Jamaica Public Services Company Limited (JPSCO)
The solar generating system should also switch to the JPSCO’s electrical system during none to low generation periods.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Tenderers must provide:
- Evidence of tax compliance
- A copy of a valid Public Procurement Commission (PPC) registration certificate in the category of Renewable Energy Systems OR Photovoltaic and Wind Powered Systems – Installation, Maintenance and Repairs

RETURN OF TENDERS
Bids must be submitted online on or before 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Bids will be opened online via the e-procurement website at https://www.gojep.gov.jm on the same day, immediately following the bid submission deadline.
N.B: “The NHT reserves the right not to award a contract to any party with whom it is currently in litigation or with whom it has been previously involved in litigation.”
