Disaster Relief Grant

Deadline extended to: November 30, 2024

Original deadline:  September 30, 2024

The Disaster Relief Grant is available to assist individuals whose homes have been damaged by natural disasters, regardless of their current loan status with the National Housing Trust (NHT). For instance, if an elderly parent’s home has sustained damage and they are not an NHT contributor, their child or offspring who is a contributor can apply on their behalf. This grant is accessible even to those who have previously accessed other NHT loan facilities, such as Open Market, Scheme, 10 Plus, or Home Improvement loans.

The selection of beneficiaries will be conducted by an internal panel, ensuring a fair and needs-based distribution of funds. Importantly, receiving the Disaster Relief Grant does not disqualify recipients from accessing future loans or other NHT benefits. The grant will be disbursed directly to the approved applicants, providing crucial support for those affected by the disaster to rebuild and recover.
